Making A List
One of our recent feature homes had a cornucopia of antique and collectible goods that was such a pleasure to inventory and appraise. Along with mahogany armchairs and a full length mink coat in one of the closets, there were also quaint intrigues such as the gum ball dispenser lamp. When buyers visit our website to see what the latest feature is, they know that they will always be intrigued by the fascinating goods that can be found in the homes of other.
For our selling client, we were able to make the process of clearing the home an efficient and stress free task. Part of our appraisal and inventory is to also verify the authenticity of items. With the china sets, this included checking and cataloging the maker’s imprint, while the mink coat had to be checked for stitching style and the lay of the fur to ensure its origin. Checking It Twice
This latest event was a great success, and over the course of two days we were able to clear the inventory from the house and allow the client to have the peace of mind that all items were properly handled and sold. As much as we enjoy the initial staged of setting up an estate sale, we also enjoy the satisfaction that our clients feel at having a stress free and efficient event to liquidate their goods.
